Combat Simulator
This simulator represents a single, vital fragment of the Seance Macabre experience.
It serves as our shared testing ground to refine the dark art of engagement. As these rules
are still being forged, they may shift as the game evolves.
Our philosophy is simple: while a clever player can gain a tactical edge through superior
weapons and armor, the whims of fate ensure that no victory is ever absolute. Even at the height
of your power, the shadows remain dangerous.
📜 Rules of Engagement
Prepare to die!: Choose your role, character, and level. Since you only have two hands, you may equip a maximum of two weapons (only one can strike from a distance).
Choose Your Fate: Your character type and melee weapon dictate your available dice pool. Select a number of dice equal to your Level (1-3) to take into battle.
Distance & Sabotage: The Attacker shoots first. Roll a "Hit" with Weapon Power greater than the Defender's Armor to succeed. Each successful hit lets the attacker swap one of the Defender's dice for a worse one.
Melee Resolution: Both sides roll their checked dice. The highest single die value wins the duel. If the dice tie, the combatant with the highest Total Armor Sum survives.
The Dark Harmony: While Mortals are natural prey to everything, monsters exist in a tactical circle of dominance (powered by the legendary Efron’s dice). Consult the diagram below to master your matchups, and watch the probability bar—fate shifts dangerously at higher levels.
